How does a laser work?

The wavelength of the laser beam is designed so that the absorption of light radiation is high in melanin, but low in water (an essential part of the skin). This guarantees selective and safe treatment with no risk of side effects.

Our Thunder laser is a powerful device that is equipped with two wavelengths, Alexandrite 755 nm and Nd: YAG 1064 nm. The main feature is that this equipment includes two lasers in one. This innovative technology makes the Thunder MT laser unique. The first laser shot damages the hair root and changes its color. The hair is detected more effectively by the second laser and the result is significantly better than if only one of the two wavelengths were used.

How many treatments are necessary?

Depending on the individual growth cycle of your hair, your skin and hair type, and the region to be treated, an average of between four and ten treatments are necessary. Laser hair removal should be carried out at optimal intervals (4-8 weeks depending on the area of the body).

Which skin types can be treated?

Thanks to the special technology of our laser, the dose and combination of the two lasers can be individually adapted to the skin type. This laser treatment can also be used on darker skin types. The risk of side effects is significantly lower.

Is treatment painful?

The laser has an integrated cooling system. Qool-air is an exclusive skin cooling system that is built into our laser. The powerful system brings maximum treatment comfort through its pleasant cooling sensation. In addition, a special treatment mode (SmoothPulse) can be used, especially for larger areas, so that even sensitive patients can hardly feel the laser pulses.

Modern lasers like our ThunderMT cost between EUR 100,000-120,000 to purchase. In some studios only simple IPL devices are used, which can be bought for EUR 8,000-10,000, which is why hair removal is offered at a lower cost. However, there are significant differences in safety, efficiency, and comfort of treatment between the systems.
