Boosting Vitality with High-Dose Vitamins
Vitamin C Infusion
The human body cannot produce vitamin C on its own and therefore cannot increase the vitamin C level when needed. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant, supports the immune system, and promotes liver detoxification, wound healing, and bone and energy metabolism.

How is vitamin C absorbed?
Many foods contain vitamin C. However, many supposedly vitamin C-rich foods contain surprisingly less vitamin C due to early harvesting, long transportation routes, improper storage, and incorrect preparation. Studies show that vitamin C intake is insufficient for many people in Austria. The human body cannot produce vitamin C on its own.
What should the vitamin C level be?
For healthy individuals, 95 mg of vitamin C per day is recommended for women and 110 mg per day for men. In cases of acute illnesses or chronic inflammatory diseases, the vitamin C level is reduced. Smokers also have an increased need for vitamin C.
What are the benefits of an infusion?
If a vitamin C deficiency cannot be compensated for through diet, an infusion is an excellent option. High vitamin C levels in the blood can be achieved through infusions, strengthening the over 150 metabolic processes that depend on vitamin C.
Which skin conditions benefit particularly from a high vitamin C level?
There is evidence of faster healing and better pain control in herpes zoster (shingles). High concentrations of vitamin C in the body also often alleviate conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and other chronic inflammatory skin diseases. Vitamin C stimulates collagen synthesis and helps improve the skin barrier. As an antioxidant, vitamin C protects the skin from UV rays and the free radicals they produce. Vitamin C also helps reduce pigmentation, and a high level is recommended for vitiligo to protect pigment cells.
